8. Urilift pop-up loos
For those who enjoy late-night bar hopping, the problem is that there’s never anywhere to pee when it’s kick-out time. Cue the pop-up toilet, a relief for both punters and local councils who have been spared having to mop up before the early morning commuters arrive.
During the day the stainless-steel three-urinal loo is safely stored underground and all that is visible above ground is its circular cover, which is designed to withstand heavy traffic. At night the comfort stop pops up via a remote control activated by police or local bar owners. The device, connected to a mains sewer so that it doesn’t need too much swilling out, can also be connected to a rainwater tank.
It comes with vandal-proof lighting and heating, too. Also now available is the Urilady, complete with a suspended seat.
