It's like weird Buildings
1. The Experience Music Project Seattle, US
Commissioned by Microsoft big cheese Paul Allen, the EMP is dedicated to rock music and multimedia displays. Architectural ace Frank Owen Gehry wanted the building to symbolise the ‘energy and fluidity’ of music and he got his inspiration from dissecting vintage electric guitars. The exterior skin consists of 21,000 stainless steel and painted aluminum shingles, in brushed silver, mirrored purple, bead-blasted gold, and red and blue, which change shade depending on which angle you look at them.
