When Longaberger Basket Company founder Dave Longaberger told his employees they’d be working in a giant replica of one of their products they thought he was having a laugh. But in 1997 amusement turned into amazement when they moved in to the world’s biggest basket. The 16,722m2, seven-storey stucco and steel structure comes complete with handles, each weighing 68 tonnes, and is equipped with special heating units to prevent ice from forming and falling on to an enormous glass ceiling below
