Mercedes bosses obviously weren’t impressed with Michael Schumacher’s ninth place in last year’s F1 championship. At the end of the season, Dutch artist Paul Veroude took apart the £30m car piece by piece. Now all 3200 parts, including the 2.4-litre, 750 horsepower V-8 engine hang from individual wires from the ceiling of the Mercedes World museum in Surrey. Veroude said that it’s as if the car had exploded a fraction of a second earlier
