3. Trashed town
The world’s largest scrap metal sculpture sits in a wacky Victorian-style theme park in Wisconsin. The Forevertron stands 15.2m high, 36.5m wide and weighs 300 tons. Creator Tom Every made the sculpture using two massive dynamos built in the 1880s, high-voltage components from ancient electricity plants, scrap from a nearby army ammunition plant and the decontamination chamber from Apollo 11
