5. The tiniest Dracula - hookworm
The hookworm is the smallest vampire in the world. This lovely 1cm-long critter uses its nasty looking, razor sharp teeth that are no bigger than a full stop on this page to hook onto the intestine of cats, dogs or humans and bite into a juicy blood vessel. Once there, it will use a blood-thinning chemical to stop the wound ever healing so that it gets a constant supply of liquid food until it dies
