It's like weird Parasites
3. Inside out
The female emerald cockroach wasp has to lay her eggs on an aggressive host three times her size. She then stings it with ‘smart’ venom to paralyse its front legs.
Then she injects venom into its brain to slow it down before chewing off half an antennae and riding it into a burrow using the antennae as reins. The wasp lays an egg on the roach’s belly and leaves. The egg hatches into a wasp larvae that eats the roach alive from the inside out for eight days keeping it alive as it eats until it forms a cocoon.
