5. Mega wasp
A brand new kind of no one’s favourite insect has been discovered in Indonesia. This monster wasp is more than 6cm long and its jaws are so massive, they're longer than its legs! Lynn Kimsey, the professor of entomology at the University of California who discovered the beast, says it is the, ‘Komodo dragon’ of wasps and says she doesn't know how it manages to walk at all.
