6. Carnivorous toilet plant
A type of bat is using an insect-eating plant as its personal toilet. This is a rare and perfect example of a mammal and a plant working in harmony, say the scientists from the University of Brunei who spotted the behaviour in Borneo. Both prey on insects but don’t compete. If the small, furry bats did try to eat the putrefied insects that are in the plants, the plant has a clever way of narrowing so that the bat would get stuck
