Who’s this? David Guetta is the man keeping the superstar DJ flame alight. He’s ranked No1 in the 2012 DJ Mag top 100.
How does it play? The last of the big-buck DJs has given a leg up (like she needs one) to diva pop warbler Nicki Minaj. This is a dancefloor anthem dripping with cheese as Nicki asks you to, ahem, ‘turn me on’ over an electro synth build-up. Great. We love cheese. But then, for reasons unknown, it breaks into a weird strangulated mini-rap. David possibly lacked the balls to tell Nicki to shut up, and let her get on with it.
They’ve also gone sci-fi with the video, creating an animatronic Nicki and friends out of a load of Frankenstein gadgets and a bucketful of nuts and bolts. Hardly happy house, it ends up halfway between horror show and a console game. But the tune’s bang on the money and won’t fail to stick in your head.
