Oregon Scientific ATC Mini Grab it all
What does it do? This lightweight and rugged action cam does just about everything, without any need for extras. It records 720p high-def video, can be used underwater without an extra housing to 20 metres and even comes with a helmet mounting so you can use it on your bike straight out of the box. It’s immediately cheaper and more versatile than most of its rivals.
What’s it like to use? Super-simple! Just click and go. And because it comes with an excellent vented helmet-mounting kit in the box, and is waterproof, it really is the go-anywhere, do-anything cam (although you do need to buy a MicroSD card). If only video quality matched versatility. It is a bit grainy at times and shadowy or low-light conditions make it worse. But at least it is small, tough and less expensive than rivals with pin-sharp pictures.
