How would modern detectives solve Sherlock Holmes's fiendishly complex murder cases?

| 21 December 2011

Jude Law and Robert Donwney Junior in Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows is storming the cinema. Flipside saw it at the weekend and it broke the 3-belly laugh barrier - this means it's great - and the action scenes will blow you out of your seat. The next issue of Flipside magazine, out 4th January has a special investigation into what technology and techniques today's Crime Scene Investigators would use to crack Holmes's trickiest murder cases.

Plus, what yucky methods do CSI's use to find out how fast bodies rot and what kind of blood trail a dragged corpse would look like? (Hint: it helps the detectives bring in the bacon. More obvious hint: they use pigs.) But do they still use Holmes's legendary powers of observation and logical deduction to crack cases? Watch those shelves in your school library for the February issue to land on 4th January 2012 and find out...
